Had to choose between a Detroit locker and a limited slip for my rear axle...
I went back and forth for two weeks on this. Ended up picking the Detroit for my '89 K5 Blazer because I mostly run trails and dont care about daily driving manners. First time I hit a muddy hill climb at Smith Creek it locked up perfect and climbed right out. But backing into my own driveway last week in the rain was a real circus act... has anyone else regretted going full locker on a semi-daily driver?

My '86 daily driver turned every wet parking lot into a rodeo until I swapped back to a limited slip.

My '86 ended up in a ditch twice before I gave up on the open diff. The limited slip was a NIGHT AND DAY difference even just pulling out of a gravel driveway.
