Swapped in a Detroit locker and now my daily driver hates me

I put a Detroit locker in the rear of my F-150 last spring. Off road it's awesome, no complaints there. But I drive this thing to work too, and the first time I hit a rainy parking lot with wet leaves I almost spun into a curb. The back end just steps out on any slick surface if I give it any throttle. Then last month my wife took it to the grocery store and came back white knuckled. She said it felt like the truck was trying to kill her. I'm probably going to swap it for a selectable locker so I can turn it off on pavement. Has anyone else made this mistake and just lived with it, or did you pull it out pretty quick?

Weird how that works. You buy a locker for the one weekend a month you go play in the dirt, and suddenly every day becomes a game of "watch the rear end try to pass the front." Same thing happens with people I know who put stiff suspension on their trucks. Great for hauling, miserable for the commute. It's like the truck forgets it's also a grocery getter. I pulled mine after three months, and even the wife noticed the difference in her mood.
