Thought long travel was all hype until my buddy's Tacoma walked right up a ledge in Moab
Back when I built my first rig I figured long travel was just a way to burn money and look cool in the desert. Then my buddy let me drive his Tacoma out near Moab last spring and it climbed a 2 foot ledge my truck needed three tries to get over. The front end just stayed planted the whole time and I could feel the tires hunting for grip instead of bouncing off. Now I'm staring at my own IFS setup wondering if I should cut the fenders or just run a spacer lift and call it done. What made you finally commit to long travel, or did you bail after the price quote?
