Dropped $200 on an AI image upscaler that couldnt handle text

Needed to blow up some product photos for a flyer. Found this upscaler that claimed to fix blurry text in images. Uploaded 10 shots of labels and packaging. Every single one came back with words looking like squiggly garbage. Tried their support. Got a generic reply about beta features. Wasted a whole Sunday on it. Anyone else run into AI tools that cant handle text at all?

Tried the same thing, got back text that looked like alien hieroglyphics.

Did you get any of those zero-width characters mixed in too, @riley_price? I saw one post where the text looked normal at first glance but then had those invisible Unicode spaces between every letter. Tried copy-pasting it into a translator and it just came back as a wall of random symbols mixed with weird spacing. Another guy I know got a reply that was mostly Emoji flags combined with symbols that didn't match any language I've seen. It's like the AI is glitching out and throwing in extra formatting junk that breaks everything.
