Rotisserie basket beats preheating for frozen fries, tried both
I ran a side test last Tuesday with two identical bags of crinkle cuts. One batch went straight into the basket cold, no preheat, other got the usual 5 minute warm up. Cold basket fries came out crispier and took 3 minutes less total. Anyone else find preheating is a waste for frozen stuff?

My air fryer probably thinks I'm crazy with how many batches of frozen fries I've sacrificed to "science" this month. The last time I preheated, I walked away to fold laundry and came back to a basket that smelled like regret and burnt oil. Cold basket method honestly sounds way better for my chaotic brain, three less minutes is basically a lifetime when you're hungry. Plus if it comes out crispier, that just means I can be even lazier and not bother with that whole "patting dry" step either. Might have to try that crinkle cut test myself this weekend, my family will think I've finally lost it.
