TIL a cheap bore scope plus a borescope adapter for my phone found the intake leak two shops missed
Been chasing a rough idle on a 172 for a week and both A&Ps I talked to pointed at the fuel system. I finally grabbed a $40 USB bore scope off Amazon and snaked it down the intake runners with my phone taped to the screen, and there it was, a hairline crack in a gasket I never would have spotted from outside. Anyone else using cheap camera setups for inspections, or am I just asking for trouble down the road?
