Had a customer tell me to my face that wireless sensors are a joke and hardwired is the only way to go

I was drilling a hole for a wired contact at their back door and they stood there for 20 minutes lecturing me about how my tools looked unprofessional, then asked why I couldn't just finish the whole house in one day.

Wireless sensors are a joke" is a pretty strong take. My buddy Tom had a guy who swore by hardwired everything, then spent two hours showing Tom his rat's nest of wires in the basement that looked like a bad sci-fi prop. Tom just nodded along while the guy kept saying how his system was bulletproof. Meanwhile, the guy's doorbell chime was dangling by a single wire. Not saying wireless is perfect, but standing there lecturing a pro about their tools while your own setup looks like that is a special kind of confidence.
