Rant: the $6 bag of 3M Scotchlok connectors saved me from re-pulling an attic run
Got called to a house in Tacoma where a previous guy spliced a keypad run with wire nuts in the attic, and of course it failed 8 months later. I tried Scotchlok IDCs on the repair instead of re-pulling 60 feet through blown-in insulation, and it's been solid for 6 weeks now. Anyone else swear by these over wire nuts for tight attic splices, or am I asking for a callback?
