My neighbor in Dayton said my records sound muddy, and I think he might be right
He came over last Saturday to hear my setup and said the highs were getting lost, which made me realize I have been running my turntable through a receiver with a bad phono stage this whole time. Anyone here ever fixed a muddy sound by swapping just the preamp, or is it usually the cartridge too?
