6 weeks of banana peels in a 5 gallon bucket and the smell completely changed
I started tossing banana peels and coffee grounds into a 5 gallon bucket with a lid drilled with holes back in early March in my Denver apartment. For the first two weeks it smelled like sweet rot when I opened it, but after 6 weeks the smell is totally gone and it looks like dark crumbly dirt. Do I need to add more browns like shredded paper or is it fine to just let it keep going like this?
