Question about that "just replace the whole control board" advice I got from a guy at the parts counter in Dayton
I always thought swapping a $280 board on a 12 year old dryer was a waste and that the counter guys just push parts, but I tried it last month on a Whirlpool with a dead keypad and it fixed it in 20 minutes. Now I'm wondering how many units I've scrapped over the years when the real fix was one board and a screwdriver. Anybody else changed their mind on this, or am I just late to the party?
