Got burned last October when every pullout on the Kanc was full by 9am and I sat in bumper to bumper traffic for 3 hours with two kids in the back. Now I call the ranger station the morning of and ask how the lot at Lincoln Woods looks, plus they tell me which overlooks still have color two weeks earlier than the foliage map. Has anyone found a good back road alternate when the main drag is jammed, maybe something off Bear Notch?
