Well pump died on Easter Sunday, worst timing ever

Last month my well pump up in Meredith just gave out completely, no warning at all. Water stopped mid-shower and I spent 6 hours on the phone trying to find anyone to come out on a holiday weekend. Finally got a guy from Laconia who swapped the pressure switch for $150 bucks instead of the whole pump, turns out it was just a corroded contact. Anyone else deal with surprise well issues during a holiday or is that just my luck?
