Got told my spreadsheets were "too busy" so I stripped them down

My coworker finally said I needed to drop the random colors and extra graphs because nobody could read them. I cut it to just 3 columns and a bold header last week - now my boss actually uses the data instead of asking for a summary. Anybody else had to unlearn bad habits from trying to look fancy?

Yeah I've been there too. It's tough when you spend time making something look polished only to find out it's just confusing everyone. Stripping it back to the basics and only showing what matters is usually the right move.
