Enough with the overprocessed moon shots, we get it, it's gray

Every other post here is a stacked and sharpened Moon that looks like a plaster ball, but nobody seems to care about capturing true color from satellites like Jupiter or Saturn, so when do we stop pretending detail means cranking contrast to 200%?

...and honestly that's exactly why I stopped scrolling astro forums for a while. The Moon is cool and all, but it's like everyone found one preset and never looked back. I tried posting a slightly softer Jupiter with the bands looking natural and someone asked me why it wasn't "crisper." Crisper meant crank the saturation until it looked like a sticker. Your mileage may vary, but I'd rather see a wobbly Saturn with genuine color than another crater close-up that looks like a CGI golf ball. The real skill is holding back on the processing, not seeing who can make the grayest object on Earth look radioactive.
