Switched from my phone to a $40 tripod and my moon shots finally look right
I used to just set my phone on the roof of my car and hope for the best. After two months of blurry moon pics I grabbed a cheap tripod from a guy selling old gear in Fresno and the difference was wild, the craters actually showed up. The real trick was the delayed shutter so my hand wasn't shaking anything. Anyone got a cheap mount trick for shooting the Orion nebula without star trails?
