Vent: it took me 4 hours to get a decent shot of Saturn through my brother's old scope
He dropped off a Celestron 114 on Sunday and I figured I'd snap a quick photo of Saturn in an hour, tops. Turned into a 4 hour mess of collimating the mirror, fighting with the phone mount, and waiting for clouds to clear over Cleveland. The thing that finally did it was dropping the ISO way down and stacking 200 frames in free software, which I should've tried way earlier. My first few tries just looked like a smudged glow, and now it actually has rings. Anybody got a trick for keeping the mirror from fogging up this late in the season?
