Am I the only one who figured out my Alpharetta HOA dues fund the mailbox guy's new truck
Two weeks ago I finally sat down and read the whole 40 page HOA budget packet they mail out every January, something I usually toss in the recycling. Turns out $18,000 of our yearly dues goes to a landscaping contract that a board member's brother in law owns, and he showed up in a brand new F-250 to trim my crepe myrtles. I called the management company and the lady said that's just how the board voted, no bids, no meeting notes. So now I'm the guy at the next meeting asking why we pay $340 a door for mulch that blows into the street. Anybody else in a north Fulton neighborhood actually get a straight answer out of their board?
