Can we talk about the $4,200 I dropped on a new HVAC system last spring
I live in Marietta and my old unit was 18 years old, so I finally pulled the trigger on a full replacement last April. The new system runs quieter and my power bill dropped about $40 a month, but here is the part that burns me. The install crew put the outdoor unit too close to my fence, and now the service guy says it is starved for airflow and could shorten its life. For $4,200 I expected them to eyeball the clearance, not just shove it wherever fit. I am waiting on the company to call me back about moving it, but I am not holding my breath. Did any of you have an install go sideways like this, and how did you get the contractor to actually own it?
