My neighbor Ray bet me $50 my new sod would die in a Marietta summer, he was half right
When we put sod down in April on our Marietta yard, Ray from two doors down walked over and told me it would be dead by August unless I watered it twice a day for at least 20 minutes. I figured once a day was plenty, so we bet $50 on it. By mid July half the backyard was brown and crispy while the front looked fine, because the front gets shade after 3pm and the back gets sun all day. I paid him the $50 and now I run two sprinkler zones on separate timers, which is something I should have thought of back in April. Anyone else had to split their watering schedule because half the yard bakes and the other half stays green?
