Old school sprinkler timer vs the new wifi one, no contest
I finally swapped out the 1998 dial timer on my lawn sprinklers in Marietta for a smart one last month after the old thing kept skipping zones. The wifi app lets me check soil moisture from my phone and adjust for the afternoon storms we've been getting, which I couldn't do before without walking outside and fiddling with pins. My water bill dropped about $35 this cycle because it stops watering when it rains and I can set different schedules for the front and back yards. Has anyone else found the old timers just don't handle Georgia's weird weather swings?
