Our pool pump died right before a 95 degree weekend

The pump on our 14 year old pool gave out Thursday night, just as we had family coming over for Saturday. I tried replacing the capacitor myself after watching a YouTube video, but that only got it running for about an hour before it quit again. Anyone have a good pool service company in the Cobb County area that does emergency calls on weekends?

Gonna push back on the emergency call idea. You already tried the capacitor fix and it lasted an hour, that tells me the motor itself is probably shot on a 14 year old pump. Paying weekend rates for a service call plus a new motor is gonna run you $600 to $800 easy. For that money you could buy a whole new variable speed pump and install it yourself in an afternoon. The wiring is just three connections and most come with clear instructions. Save the emergency service for when the pool is green and gross, not just warm.
