Appreciation post: the $12 harbor freight da polisher got me through a whole bumper respray
I picked up a cheap 6 inch dual action polisher at Harbor Freight in Tulsa about 3 weeks ago just to see if it could handle cutting compound on a resprayed bumper, and honestly I figured it would burn out or stall the second I leaned into it. Ran it through 3 panels with some Meguiar's 105 and it held up fine, no heat issues, no weird vibration, just slow smooth work. Am I crazy for thinking the cheap one is good enough for hobby level jobs, or has anyone had one die on them mid panel?
