Can we talk about how the Eagle Rock loop changed after that ice storm in February
I hiked the Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas back in November and then again two weekends ago, and the difference blew my mind. In November the climb out of the Little Missouri valley was dry and loose, but after the ice storm in February and all the rain since, the same stretch is now a rutted mud chute with three new blowdowns you have to climb over. What took me about 4 hours before took almost 6 this time, mostly because of the mud. Anyone else seen a route get this chewed up in one season, and do you wait it out or just deal with it?
