Unpopular opinion: the Pinhoti Trail is better than the AT and nobody talks about it
I did 210 miles of the Pinhoti in Alabama last month and saw maybe 6 people the whole time. The AT around Springer was a parking lot by comparison back in 2021. If you want views and solitude without the shelter drama, this route is it. Has anyone else tried the southern section, or am I just weird for liking the quieter stuff?
