PSA: My old wooden coop versus the new plastic one from Tractor Supply

Honestly, I built a wooden coop myself three years ago and it was a constant fight with mites and rot here in Florida. Last month I got the plastic 'Chick-N-House' from Tractor Supply for about $350 and it's a total game changer. Ngl, cleaning it with a hose takes five minutes and nothing sticks to the walls. Has anyone else made a switch like this and found it cut down on pest problems?

Oh man, I saw a video about this exact thing. The guy said plastic coops basically solved his mite issue because they can't hide in the seams. Makes total sense.

Wait, does that mean you have to clean plastic coops less often? My neighbor has a wooden one and he's always scrubbing it down, says the mites get in the cracks no matter what.

Seriously, the heat buildup in those plastic ones is no joke. My friend's birds looked miserable until he had to add a whole extra shade tarp.
