Warning: found out clipper blades get dull way faster than I assumed, and my numbers were way off
I was reading a maintenance guide from a supply company out of Fort Worth and it said most blades need swapping or sharpening after about 5 to 10 full haircuts, not the 30 or 40 I always figured. I sat there doing the math on my own chair and realized I had been pushing one set for almost 3 weeks of walk ins. That explains why the taper on the sides kept grabbing instead of gliding, and why two guys winced when I hit the neckline. I felt like an idiot for blaming my technique. How often are you all actually rotating blades, and do you track it by cuts or by days?
