Just dropped $60 on a chain whip that bent on the second use
Wasted $60 on a chain whip from some random brand on Amazon and it bent on the second cassette swap. Pins folded over like cheap aluminum foil. Now I'm out that cash and still need to drop $40 on a Park Tool one. What basic tools have you guys learned to never skimp on?

Did you have the same immediate regret feeling? Because I used to be all about saving a few bucks on tools, thinking they're all the same basic metal anyway. But after watching a cheap cassette tool strip the teeth on my lockring, I had to side with @jamienguyen on this one. That Amazon junk just isn't worth the headache when you're putting real force on it. Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way that Park Tool charges more for a reason.

Bro you really bought a chain whip from Amazon? That's asking for trouble tbh. Park Tool or nothing for stuff that takes torque. Cheap tools just cost you more in the end.
