Saw a shop in Portland using old spoke cutoffs as tire levers, now I'm questioning my $18 set
Stopped by a co-op on N Williams last Tuesday and watched a guy pop a stubborn Gatorskin with a bent spoke he ground down himself, and it made me wonder if anyone else here has ditched the plastic levers for scrap metal.
Wait, he ground down the spoke? I always thought you just bend the end into a hook and call it a day. Maybe the grinding is why it worked so well on a Gatorskin, those things are a nightmare.
