I picked the $40 airport parking lot over the $12 one and my car got towed, $310 later
Last Friday I flew out of St. Louis for a wedding and had to pick between the cheap $12 a day lot about 2 miles from the terminal or the covered garage right at the airport for $40 a day. I went cheap because it was a 3 day trip and I figured I was saving about 80 bucks. Got back Sunday night, walked to the shuttle stop, and the shuttle guy told me my lot had been closed since Thursday for repaving. Nobody told me. No sign, no email, nothing. My car had been towed to a lot out in Bridgeton and it cost me $310 to get it back plus a $28 Uber to even get there. The $40 garage would have been $120 total. I keep doing the math in my head and it gets worse every time. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these off site airport lots, and do you just eat the cost of the garage now?
