I had been sending out the same resume for 8 months and getting nothing back, not even a rejection. Last week I met a recruiter at a coffee shop in Dallas who agreed to look at it, and she pointed at the dates on my last job and said 'this explains the gap.' I had been writing the months wrong the entire time, so it looked like I quit in March when I actually left in November. I felt so dumb, because I had been blaming the job market this whole time. Has anyone else found a tiny typo or date mistake that was quietly tanking their applications?
