Serious question, why do people keep calling 'Severance' a slow burn?
I binged the whole season in one night and was on the edge of my seat from the first scene in the weird office. My friend said it took her three episodes to get into it, but I think the tension is immediate and the mystery is the whole point. Are we just watching it differently, or is the 'slow' label totally wrong?

My buddy said the same thing, then he got to the waffle party episode and called me in a panic.

Your buddy might have a point, bailey.terry, but I loved that episode.

Tell your friend to stick with it for the first three episodes. I had the same talk with my sister, who almost quit after two. The show builds its own weird rules, and you need that time to get used to the place. Once you buy into the world, every little detail feels like a clue. The payoff is huge, but the setup is necessary. She ended up obsessed by the finale.
