DAE remember when we riveted a whole steam drum by hand? Did one in Gary, Indiana back in '98 and my arm didn't work right for a week
We had 14 guys on that job and only one hydraulic gun, so the rest of us ran manual rivet busters on the drum seams for 11 shifts straight. My hands were buzzing so bad I couldn't hold a coffee cup without spilling it for three days after. These days it's all torque guns and calibrated wrenches, which is safer and faster, I get it. But there was something about hearing 40 hammers going at once that you just don't get anymore. Any of you old hands still miss the sound, or am I just getting soft in the head?
