Had a run-in with poison ivy at the Morton Arboretum last spring

I was out near Lisle helping with a volunteer cleanup in a wooded area, and I didn't think twice about grabbing some vines. Three days later my arms were covered in blisters and I couldn't sleep from the itch. Now I always carry Tecnu wipes in my pack and scrub down before I even get back in the car. Anyone else had a surprise brush with something that ruined their day?

Oh man, poison ivy is the absolute worst. I learned that lesson the hard way too, was pulling weeds behind my garage and grabbed a big patch of what I thought was just regular vine. Two days later my whole forearm looked like a nightmare, had to sleep with my arm wrapped in a wet towel just to get through the night. Now I'm super paranoid, even when I'm just walking through tall grass I keep my arms covered. That Tecnu stuff is a lifesaver, I keep a bottle in my truck and use it before I even touch the steering wheel. Never again.
