Thought carnivorous plants were a gimmick for 15 years until my Venus flytrap ate 3 fruit flies in front of me in one afternoon
I always assumed the whole bug-eating thing was exaggerated marketing for nurseries, but after watching my $8 flytrap from a Trader Joe's in Sacramento snap shut on actual live flies last Tuesday, I'm wondering if anyone else keeps these and what you feed yours when bugs are scarce.
