Shoutout to the guy at the Lebanon, NH transfer station who talked me out of a dumpster-diving haul
I used to grab every free chair and shelf I saw curbside, but now I only take stuff I can fix in one afternoon, because half of it sat in my barn for two years. He told me a $0 couch costs $60 in gas and dump runs when it doesn't work out, so now I measure first and leave the rest. Anyone else set a strict limit on free stuff, or am I just getting soft?
