Tried a $3 window quilting trick on my drafty 1920s rental in Worcester and the oil bill dropped more than I expected
I taped up those cheap bubble wrap sheets behind the curtains in the two worst bedrooms back in November, mostly figuring it was a waste of 20 minutes and a roll of tape. Come January our oil use was down about 40 gallons versus the same stretch last winter, which honestly surprised me. Has anyone tried the heavier quilted version on a north facing wall, and did it actually pay off or just trap moisture?
