My $6 thrift store popcorn popper roasts better beans than my $180 drum roaster and I do not know how to feel
Found a West Bend Poppery II at a Goodwill in Tulsa last week for $6 and figured why not, I have roasted on a Behmor for 3 years. Tried a batch of Guatemalan beans in it on the porch and hit first crack right at 4 minutes with way more even color than my drum ever gets. Now I am sitting here with two roasters and one very confused ego, has anyone else gone backwards to a popcorn popper on purpose?
