Thought a $20 popcorn popper was too cheap to roast coffee, three batches later I'm eating my words

Grabbed one at a Goodwill in Austin last weekend and it hit first crack in about 6 minutes flat, way faster than my old air roaster ever did. Now I'm wondering if I should just stick with this thing or if the cheap motor is gonna die on me in a month, anyone else running a popper long term?
