Tried name brand trash bags vs dollar store ones for 3 months straight
I used Glad for a month and they ripped twice on me, then switched to the 99 cent store brand and haven't had a single blowout in 8 weeks. Anyone else find the cheap stuff holds up better or did I just get a bad batch of the expensive ones?

...and here's the thing nobody talks about - garbage bags are basically a commodity now. The factories in China that make the dollar store bags are literally the same ones that make the name brand stuff half the time. Glad gets their plastic from the same suppliers, just pays for fancier printing and commercials. I've been testing this theory for a year now with my neighbor who works in plastics manufacturing. He verified that most of the "premium" bags are just marked up 400% for no reason. The real quality difference comes from how you store them. Keep em in a cool dry place and even the cheap ones last forever.
