I was throwing away half my veggies before I saw a video on scraps
For years, I would just toss carrot tops, onion skins, and broccoli stems straight into the trash. About three weeks ago, I watched a quick video where someone saved all that stuff in a freezer bag. Now I keep a gallon bag in my freezer for all my veggie scraps. Once it's full, I boil it with some salt and pepper to make a free soup base. It tastes way better than store bought broth and costs nothing. Has anyone else tried this and found other uses for scraps?

Got me thinking about potato peels. Toss them with a little oil and salt, roast until crispy. Basically free chips.

Ever tried that with sweet potato skins? They get even crispier. Way better than the regular kind.
