Hot take: my sister in law made me stop paying for airport parking forever
My sister in law picked us up from O'Hare in April and mentioned she always parks at the Rosemont CTA lot for $13 a day instead of the $45 garage. I did the math on our 6 day trip and that tip alone saved us $192, which covered almost all our food that week. Now I want to know if anyone has a cheaper move for long trips out of Midway, because I'm flying again in October and don't want to leave money on the table.

I read on a travel blog that the Midway economy lot is like $15 a day if you book online ahead of time, way cheaper than the garage. There is also a trick where you park at one of the hotels near Midway and take their free shuttle, some of them charge like $10 a day. A guy I work with swears by the cell phone lot hack but that only works if someone is dropping you off and picking you up. For a 6 day trip the savings really add up, same as your Rosemont situation. Just check that the lot has a shuttle running early in the morning if your flight is at some awful hour.
