Yeah, that tracks. Read a blog once where someone said the tiny extra cost for a bottom bunk or a private locker is the best money you can spend on a trip.

It's a small choice that shows a bigger truth. We often push ourselves to save a few bucks, then end up paying for it in lost sleep or constant worry. That little bit of comfort buys you peace of mind, which is what you're really after on a break. I see it all the time with people skipping travel insurance or taking the red-eye to save fifty dollars. The stress cost is always higher than the money saved.

Remember that article about decision fatigue? It said every tiny choice costs mental energy, and travel is full of them. Paying a bit more to cut out a few of those choices, like a direct flight or a better seat, saves your brainpower for the actual trip. Why burn through your focus on logistics when you could use it to enjoy yourself?
