Accidentally paid for 2 streaming services for 6 months straight

Was checking my bank statements at a coffee shop last week and realized I'd been double-paying for Netflix and Hulu since April after forgetting to cancel a free trial on a second email. Called support and got refunded for 4 months, saved $88 on the spot - has anyone else caught duplicate subscriptions hiding in old email accounts?

Yeah, @phoenix_singh, you said $88 is pocket change, but for a lot of people that's a full grocery run or a tank of gas. I get that companies like the steady revenue, but calling it "good business sense" overlooks how shady it feels when they rely on people forgetting. Your mileage may vary, but I think most folks would rather keep that money than hand it over to a glitchy free trial system.

$88 is pocket change in the grand scheme of things, you probably would have spent that on random takeout or coffee runs anyway without even blinking. Companies rely on people forgetting about small charges because it keeps their revenue steady, and honestly that's just good business sense on their part. If you can't keep track of your own subscriptions across multiple email accounts, that's really on you for not staying organized.
