Cutting my grocery runs to one store per week saved me $180 over three weeks
I used to hit Aldi, the produce stand, and the Mexican market all in the same trip because each had one thing cheaper, but the extra driving and impulse buys in each store were killing me. Anyone else found that fewer stops actually beats chasing every deal?
Target has the cheapest paper towels and Costco beats everyone on meat, so making one stop a week would cost me way more than $180 in the long run. The real money suck is impulse buys, not the extra mile between stores. I just bring a list and stick to it, and I still come out ahead hitting two or three spots.
