My index is a disaster after 2 years of daily logging

I started my first bullet journal in March 2023 and never set up a proper index, just wrote page numbers randomly, so now flipping back to find my June 2024 habit tracker takes like 15 minutes every time. Last week I finally tried to fix it by going through all 340 pages and writing down every spread, but I got overwhelmed after page 80 and gave up. Has anyone else just restarted a whole journal mid-year instead of dealing with a broken index?
