Am I the only one who taped over their dad's Super Bowl XXI recording and got caught by the VHS counter
So back around 1998 I was a dumb kid taping WWF Sunday Night Heat on our old VCR and I accidentally recorded straight over my dad's Super Bowl XXI tape from 1987. The thing that blew my mind was the tape counter, it said SP 2:00 and I just assumed I had two hours of free space, not knowing the whole game was only 3 hours of a 6 hour tape. My dad came home, saw the Giants were gone, and made me sit through the whole thing rewinding to check. What I learned is that cable VCR taping was a whole math problem and nobody under 30 gets how stressful it was. Did anyone else ruin a family tape this way or was I the only cursed one?
