Chose a $14 eBay mirror box spring over bending one myself, and now I'm second guessing it
Had a Pentax K1000 in last week with a lazy mirror return, and it came down to either buying a $14 pull-off spring from eBay or trying to bend the original back into shape. I went with the used spring since bending old steel felt like a gamble, but the mirror still hangs up every 20 shots or so. Did I get a weak spring or am I missing something else in the linkage?
