Shutter curtain tore on a 1968 Canon FTb this morning
Customer brought it in for a CLA and the cloth just shredded when I tensioned it, so I had to track down a replacement curtain from a parts camera in New Jersey for $35, has anyone else dealt with these old cloth shutters dry rotting after 50 years?

Damn, that's rough. Was the curtain sticking at all before you tensioned it, or did it look fine until it let go?
