Just realized my old tent stakes were the whole problem
Was packing up after a windy night near Lake Tahoe and watched three of my cheap twisted stakes bend like wet noodles, while my buddy's plain V-stakes stayed put. I read a forum post later that said stake shape matters more than material for most soils, and suddenly all those floppy vestibule nights made sense. Anyone else finally swap out their starter stakes and notice a huge difference in storm stability?
